What a day! Today was one of those days that made me appreciate my Mom. These Criss Cross Peanut Butter Cookies took me FOREVER, and no they’re not hard but Annie really wanted to be held and the boys were fighting and I couldn’t even think straight. I think it took me a whole 30 minutes to mix the ingredients, when it should’ve taken 5!! Is anyone else this frazzled??!!
My Mom always made us cookies when we were young. I never even noticed or appreciated it because I was probably to busy clubbing my little brother over the head! Making fresh food and baking takes time and a lot of work. Work that usually goes unnoticed by everyone. As a kid and even into early adulthood I took for granted that my food just showed up, ready to eat. Fresh, healthy and really good. Thanks MOM!!
This recipe makes a TON of cookies!! I repeat, A. TON. 50 to be exact. Way to many for us, so for the first time our neighbors will be getting some of these. If you don’t want 50 cookies laying around you may want to cut this recipe in half. I have been having an insane time losing 5 pounds. I don’t know what it is, Peripause already at 35? Seriously?? Something ain’t right. But anywho, I don’t need 50 delicious crunchy peanut butter cookies tempting me day after day, and these are so, so , GOOD!
To make these Criss Cross Peanut Butter Cookies you’ll need butter, brown and white sugar, eggs, vanilla, flour, baking soda, salt, peanut butter and a fork. Simple, classic, yummy.
